First Day of School!

Back to School

Dear Tarbiyah Pioneers,

Assalamu Alaikum!

>Wow!! Can you believe it?  Tomorrow is September 8 and it’s the first day of school for all Tarbiyah Parents and Students!  Subhanallah this has been an AMAZING Journey!  To think that all this started four years ago as just a simple idea that a few moms had.  Now, with the blessings of Allah (SWT) and your generous support, we are ready to start our first academic year!  YOU are our Tarbiyah PIONEERS!

We are super excited to see you all again and to see all the excited children on our first day tomorrow inshallah.  We’re emailing you to let you know about a few logistical details that are important for our first day:

  • School Times
  • Drop-off & Dismissal
  • After Care Rates & Registration
  • Dress Code
  • Lunch & Snack Time
  • Friends of Tarbiyah Group

Please be sure to read through this email and as always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 844-TARBIYA or email us at

School Times:

Please remember that school starts at 7:40 am with assembly every day.  On Mondays to Thursdays, school ends at 2:40 pm.  On Fridays, dismissal is at 12:30 pm.  Please make sure to drop off and pick up your children on time unless you’ve registered for After Care.

Drop-off & Dismissal:
The earliest time you can drop off your child is 7:30 am.  If you are coming into school, you can park in the front and come in with your child.  If you are just dropping your child off, then please proceed to the back of the building for a speedy drop-off.  Remember that NO PARKING is allowed in the back.  All parking must be in the front.  Our website has all the details and a nice little graphic that will help you figure out where to park and where to drop-off
After Care Rates & Registration:
To register for After Care, please visit our website and fill in the online form.  Our After Care Rates are also on our website.  After Care will be free the first week of school.  Billing for After Care will start on September 14 and will be through TADS.  After care is available this week from 3pm to 6pm.  While the service is free this week, any late pick-ups (after 6pm) will be charged at $1.00 per minute.
Dress Code:
An email was sent a few weeks ago regarding our dress code.  Please visit our site to revise our dress code policy.  Remember that if your child isn’t wearing prayer appropriate clothes, you should send him/her with clothes in a large, labeled Zip-Locked bag.
Lunch & Snack Time:
Please remember that as an MSDE approved school, we are not allowed to have students use microwaves on campus.  Please make sure your child brings in a healthy lunch and mid-morning snack that doesn’t need heating.
Friends of Tarbiyah:
Our school is in need of a strong Parent Group that will help plan events, fundraise, and arrange volunteers for the classroom.  If you are interested in joining our parent group – Friends of Tarbiyah – please email our amazing Administrative Assistant, Ms. ElKordy at We are hoping to have our first Friends of Tarbiyah meeting on school grounds early next week inshallah.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 844-TARBIYA or email us at
