MS. FAIZA KHAN
PYP 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher
I have an MA in Social Studies from the University of Chicago and a Bsc (Hons.) in Social Science from LUMS, Pakistan.
In the past 15 years, I have been teaching or learning in various capacities and hope to embody and pass along the lifelong learning trait that is so central to the Tarbiyah philosophy. I have classroom experience teaching at an IB school in Pakistan and an Islamic School in Illinois. At Tarbiyah Academy I am excited to find my two favorite school models combined. My areas of special interest are History and Islamic Studies, and these are things I have taught in the past (sometimes in the same classroom) and I love that the IB Model thrives on transdisciplinary learning!
Fun Facts about me: I am a Tarbiyah parent, I have two kids and we moved to Maryland two years ago. In my free time I like to make and consume copious amounts of dessert.
