As salaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Dear Tarbiyah Academy Community,

Insha’Allah, this finds you in the best of health and iman. Thank you for your patience and support during this time, given the recent schedule changes. After careful consideration and aggressively monitoring communication regarding the (COVID-19) coronavirus and its impact in the Maryland area, Tarbiyah Academy will be closing school (March 16 through May 15). The building will remain closed during scheduled virtual learning.

Spring Break for students and staff will remain the same. (March 30 through April 10). The operating status of our school following Spring Break will be shared in subsequent communication. The guidance and recommendations from the Office of Health and Human Services, Maryland Health Department, along with the Howard County Health Department will be used when making this decision.

All future school events during this time are postponed. Below includes pertinent information as we embark on an alternative learning journey, which I am confident with Allah’s guidance, dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and our excellent students we will be successful. In shaa Allah. May Allah protect everyone and provide shifa to those who may be ill, Ameen.

Jazak’Allah khayr. With appreciation,

Khadijah Shakir Hankton
