3rd Grade Bake Sale @ MFC

The 3rd Grade class will be hosting the February Bake Sale, during MFC Jummah Prayer at Owen Brown Interfaith Center. All proceeds will go towards purchasing items for their classroom. All 3rd grade parents and students are encouraged to contribute as well as join us at MFC. It’s a great opportunity for the students to actively be involved in raising money for their classroom.

Great American SpellCheck Fundraiser

The Great American SpellCheck is a fun and easy way to raise money for our school, while also helping students practice for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Students study grade-specific word lists and collect pledges from family and friends for every word that they spell correctly. November Community Service Project

Feeding the Homeless in Baltimore

Join us as we work together to give back to our local community. This is always such a fulfilling experience for all. We set up our food station in front of the St. Vince de Paul Church in Baltimore and students get to work passing out food and beverages to the less fortunate. Neighborhood Gift Basket Project

Date: 10/3-/17-11/27/17

This is a student-led project in which students collect items that will be used to create gift baskets for our neighboring businesses. We will be collecting typical gift basket items such as chocolates, cookies, candles, tea, coffee, etc. Collections will go on until 11/20/17. During the last week of November, two students from each grade level will be randomly selected to deliver the baskets. Students will also be making cards to present with each basket.

Spirit Week

This is by far the students’ favorite week of the school year! It gives them an opportunity to really showcase their personalities. Parents and teachers are encouraged to dress up as well!
