Tarbiyah Academy Presents Raising Amazing Girls Event

We are proud to present Raising Amazing – a girl’s developing body and mind.
The program is designed to introduce young girls to the physical & emotional changes and Islamic obligations that come with the onset of puberty.
The program is divided into 2 sessions. Please see details below.

First Session:

Name: Raising Amazing Girls –  Mothers And Daughters

When: Saturday, March 20th, 2021

Time: 4pm-6:45pm

Description:A discussion about physical, emotional, and spiritual development for girls during puberty. Speakers include a Physician, a Psychotherapist, and an Islamic Fiqh Expert.

Second Session:

Name: Raising Amazing Girls –  Fathers Only

When: Friday, March 19th, 2021

Time: 7pm-8:15pm

Description: A program for fathers providing insight on strengthening the emotional & spiritual connection between father and daughter during puberty. Speakers include a Psychotherapist and an Islamic Fiqh Expert.

Qur’an Master Class:

Tarbiyah Academy presents the online Arabic and Qu’ran Masterclass Program. The Masterclass Program will condense four, 30-minute lessons, into two sessions per week lasting 60 minutes each, to develop a love for the lifelong learning of the book of Allah and the Arabic language. Placement to each level and advancement between levels will be required through regular assessments and feedback.

Level 1: Beginners Group
Level 2: Advanced Group

Schedule:

Qur’an Course: January 7th- April 1st

Every Monday and Thursday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm (Classes will be held via Zoom and the Maximum number in each group is 5 students)

Level 1: Beginners Group (Focusing on Reading and Writing)
Level 2: Advanced Group (Focusing on Comprehension and grammar)
Schedule:

Arabic Course: January 8th- March 30th

Every Tuesday and Friday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm (Classes will be held via Zoom and the Maximum number is 5 students in each group)

Qur’an Course for Female Adult

Level 1: Beginners Group (Focusing on reading and level one of the Tajweed rules)
Level 2: Advanced Group (Focusing on Memorization and advanced Tajweed rules)

Schedule:
Qur’an Course: January 7th- April 1st

Every Monday and Thursday from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm

When: Monday, Jan. 21 2021 at 7-8 pm

Where: This is an online event.

More Information:This workshop is designed to provide parents with knowledge and strategies of how phonics instruction reinforces literacy skills in children. Phonics refers to the method of teaching a student to read by developing their phonemic awareness and an understanding of the links between these sounds and how we use the letters of the alphabet to represent them. This understanding is essential to not only read well, but to bridge the gap between reading and writing. With a good foundation of phonics knowledge, students can quickly become confident readers and strong independent writers.

Name of Event: Raising Amazing – A Boy’s Developing Mind and Body

Description: Raising Amazing is a program designed to present the physical and emotional changes, and religious obligations that come with the onset of puberty, in a loving an safe Islamic environment. This program is for fathers and their sons, between the ages of 11 and 15. Dinner, dessert, and swag bags for the boys will be available for picup from Tarbiyah Academy on the day of the event. Tarbiyah Academy Presents Raising Amazing - A boy's Developing Mind and BodyName of Event: Raising Amazing – Moms’ Session

Description: Mothers of boys registered for the program on Saturday will get an overview of presentations from our panelists, each follows by a question and answer session. Panelists will discuss information on the emotional development of young boys around the time of puberty, tips on how to strengthen the relationship with sons during this time and spiritual guidance, based on the Islamic tradition.

NOTE: When purchasing tickets for Saturday, make sure to add on a free ticket for Friday

Get creative and travel time with some help from your parents. Let’s see all the groovy, preppy, neon, tie-dye, vintage pieces that defined fashion in the past.

On December 15, it’s School Spirit Fun Friday!

Show your school spirit, by wearing blue and yellow. Go Tigers!
