Samirah Ali

Mrs. Samirah Ali is in her first year with Tarbiyah Academy as our First Grade Teacher. She is a creative, determined, and driven teacher who has a passion for educating young minds. After attending the University of Maryland University College, where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology, she completed two years with the Teach for America program in the DC Region.  At the culmination of the program, Mrs. Ali earned her teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Ali is currently pursuing her Master’s of Science in Early Childhood Education at Johns Hopkins University where she hopes to specialize in Special Education. Mrs. Ali’s believes that every child can learn and that a teacher’s prime directive is to work to meet each child’s needs.
